These are my favorite teas-
if you come to my house I will have plenty of each type on hand, including lots
of other varieties of Tazo, Good Earth, and Bigelow. I don't expect anyone
to be interested in this, but it is a good place for me to keep my tasting
notes.

Mighty Leaf |
California Fields (loose only) |
California sunflowers, cactus flowers, and rhubarb are blended with China black and green teas. The results are lovely fruity tea that is subtly complex. Popular iced blend. |
This looked good dry but not once it hit the water in my clear glass teapot. It was very tasty, but I'm not sure if it is special enough to justify the price. Buy loose at Whole Foods Market, buying over the web means you have to purchase a lot. |

Mighty Leaf |
Breakfast Americana |
Experience this unique blend of Ceylon, Darjeeling, and Assam. A satisfying flavor, great black or with milk and honey or sugar. |
nothing special, I prefer Twinings, English Breakfast |
|
Mighty Leaf |
Mint Melange (decaf) |
Peppermint and spearmint mingle together for a soothing herbal infusion. This fragrant blend lingers on the tongue and in your mind like a fine wine. |
good, but can find/grow something similar for cheaper |
|
Mighty Leaf |
African Nectar (decaf) |
The African Rooibos or red bush makes a vivid and smooth cup blended with hibiscus and exotic fruits of the African continent. Rich in antioxidants, it promotes calm and relaxation. Perfect for enhancing a peaceful night's rest. |
similar to other red rooibos- good if you like that kind of thing, but not special enough for the price |
|
Mighty Leaf |
Chamomile Citrus (decaf) |
A unique mélange of Egyptian chamomile, citrus slices, lemongrass, rose hips, hibiscus, and mint. Delicate, fruity, and soothing, this blend is loaded with Vitamin C. |
Chamomile can be boring- I like it with a kick of mint or, in this case, citrus. Often chamomile blends can bitter- this one isn't. Soothing without being dull, Mighty Leaf nailed this flavor- totally worth the price. |
|
Mighty Leaf |
Green Tea Tropical |
A fragrant blend of delicate green teas accented by tropical fruits, including guava, pineapple, and strawberry. Healthy, soothing and refreshing. |
Refreshing and light- very nice. I'll buy more of this one for sure. |
|
Mighty Leaf |
Mountain Spring Jasmine |
Layers of jasmine buds naturally scent Chinese green tea leaves for a gently piquant yet rounded perfume-like cup. |
Wonderful! Another lovely green tea blend, very fragrant and soothing. Brings to mind sitting on a balcony, somewhere exotic. Another one I'll continue to purchase. |
|
Mighty Leaf |
Orange Jasmine |
Orange slices, jasmine blossoms, vanilla and bergamot fruit blended with Ceylon and China black teas make this a rich, fragrant memorable cup. Superb as a compliment to chocolate and cream based desserts. |
Good, but I prefer Bigelow's Constant Comment, which is more pungent and full bodied or Republic of Tea's White Blossom when I am in the mood for light (both cost less than ML) |
|
Mighty Leaf |
Earl Gold (also comes in decaf) |
High-grown Ceylon and China black teas are combined with the smoky orange notes of Bergamot fruit, making an elegant, balanced and full-flavored classic cup. Caffeine medium. Decaffeinated or caffeine free also available. |
Good, like all their teas, just not special enough to justify the cost. Republic of Tea is much better. |
|
Mighty Leaf |
Vanilla Bean |
This aromatic tea features Madagascar Vanilla beans and caramel blended with Ceylon and China black teas. A full-bodied and fruity cup, this blend makes a deeply satisfying impression. |
This gets a lot of compliments from friends, more full bodied than other varieties… just not my style. |
|
Republic of Tea |
Earl Greyer (also comes in decaf) |
Bergamot orange is a citrus fruit native to northern Italy. Our exceptional blend of this classic tea uses a superior, light Ceylon leaf combined with top-grade, pure bergamot oil. Recognized as the best tasting Earl Grey available. |
Total agree this is the best out there. I like mine with strong flavor and a good nose- Republic of Tea delivers. |
|
Republic of Tea |
Orange Blossom White Tea |
The Flower of Love. Highly scented orange blossoms are full of essential oils and are traditionally used as adornments in wedding ceremonies. The blossoms impart an invigorating citrus note to this supreme White Tea, creating the ultimate cup. |
Completely lovely and light. A great tea to serve any time of day, good for entertaining. |
|
Twinings |
Earl Grey |
The classic blend of fine teas delicately scented with the mediterranean citrus fruit of bergamot. |
During the "Tea Wars" this won- however we hadn't discovered Republic of Tea yet, which beats it. So let's call it the second best Earl Grey on the market. |
|
Twinings |
English Breakfast |
Full-bodied brisk flavor ideal as a "wake up" tea. |
An affordable, enjoyable alternative to my favorite "standard black" tea blend, mentioned below. |
|
Harrods |
Tea Blend 14 |
blend combines Darjeeling, Assam, and Nilgari teas |
This is my favorite black tea. So very smooth! |
|
PG Moment |
PG Tips |
one of the UK's most popular teas |
Also a very good black tea I got hooked on after my Mum brought some back from England. My kiwi roommate also thrived on the stuff. |
|
Tazo |
Tazo Chai |
A rich blend of black tea and spices in the style of the hill dwellers of the Himalayas. |
My favorite Chai- not too strong on the cardamom and can be made with out caffeine or sugar for a nice afternoon treat. I buy tons of this. |
|
Tazo |
Spice (decaf) |
A big flavorful tea swirling with cinnamon, anise, and other fragrant notes. |
Surge loves this one, but it isn't my favorite. When I crave cinnamon, I reach for something stronger and the anise is too much, I think. |
|
Tazo |
Refresh (decaf) |
An herbal infusion of Northwest peppermint and spearamint leaves and the sweet taste of tarragon. |
I really like this minty tea, but mint is so easy to grow, it feels wrong to pay for mint herbal tea. |
|
Green Tea |
FYI: Yamamotoyama means Mountain Valley Mountain. |
My favorite traditional green tea- simple, yet amazing. As green tea should be. |
|
|
Percent Herbal Tea |
The findings of the research indicates that Hachi Jo Island Ashitaba does not only contain rich and balanced vitamins minerals, food fiber and amino acids, it also contains a newly found element- named "CHALCONE". |
I have no idea what this tea is made out of, but it is so tasty, I don't care. I would call it a non-traditional green- remarkably sweet and flavorful. Hard to find- look for it at Ranch Market 99. |
|
|
Good Earth |
Original Herb Blend |
A blend of Masai (Rooibos), Rose Hips, Chamomile, Cinnamon, Lemon Grass, Peppermint, Papaya, Anise, Orange Peel, Ginger, Artificial and Natural Flavors. Contains no sugar, caffeine, artificial colors or preservatives. 3 Calories. |
So good, nothing can compare. Perhaps Market Spice, but this is less expensive and easier to find. Love those tags! When I ask which he wants, Surge refers to this tea simply as "the yummy kind". |
