Here's the condo- we move in January 15th! I've finally realized I don't actually go out as much as I think I do, so I'm moving out of the city and into cheap, quiet suburbia. Imagine! A life of walking along the Iron Horse Trail without looking over my shoulder, being able to see stars at night and mountains in the day and all with a commute I would have killed for when I lived in LA. Yes kids, there is a land where people cross in the crosswalks and are quiet during movies; where there may not be "Street Spirit," but there is tons of street parking. And with BART around the corner, I can be in my crappy old neighborhood in 15 minutes, or in San Francisco in 30 (Pier 1 Farmer's Market: here I come).

Our parquet floor kitchen, with lots of
cupboards. We all know what that means... I get to buy more dishes! |
Vaulted ceilings with a full bedroom and bath on both the ground and top floors. Jon's office with the bay window is seen at the end of the hall. See those vents? Central A/C and heating, baby! | Closets on the way to the bathroom? Does this look like something I would actually be interested in? As an added bonus, the washer/dryer is 7 feet away. | Up in the loft is my office alcove, which overlooks the living room. I predict this to be the area that changes the most. | ||

| Jon gives "thumbs up", the secret signal that I should start scaring away the other lookie-loos (I did a good job). This is the view from the loft balcony, looking down on the living room and beyond to the deck. | Oho! I leave the room for one minute and he starts going through my purse. Note functioning wood-burning fireplace. | From our balcony, we have a view of the pool. The epitome of life in gated-community suburbia. Check out all the leaves we don't ever have to rake- mwuhahaha. | |||
None of this is our furniture, so you'll have to
check back in February 2004 to see how we decorated. I'm feeling the
Periodic Table of Elements over the fireplace, and books piled pretty much
everywhere else. We have two queen-sized beds so, if you don't mind
sleeping in either a loft or a room with three computers in it, visit the lovely
Bay Area and stay with us! Other visitor amenities include: an excellent
array of snacks, your own bathroom for the duration of your stay, 1.5-6.0Mbps
broadband access via wireless LAN and computers with guest logins, all the RPGs
you can carry home for $1 their appropriate market value (hey, it was worth a shot!), and free Jagermeister
in the freezer at all times.
